Better low wind performance
Up to 34 times greater extraction than the Standard SV450 in very low wind conditions, as reported in independent testing. See performance details.
Two independent ventilation systems. One practical solution for improved industrial airflow, especially when the wind drops. Designed and manufactured in Australia, with no mains electricity required.
Ampelite has partnered with Australian innovator iSwirl Pty Ltd to combine proven wind-driven rotary ventilation with independent solar-powered mechanical extraction.
The iSwirl 450 helps improve airflow during periods of low natural wind, when conventional rotary ventilators are least effective. Its hybrid design supports ventilation whenever either energy source is available.
Independent mechanical extraction harnesses solar energy to improve performance, particularly during low wind conditions.
The rotary ventilator continues to harness wind energy whenever it is available. The two systems operate independently.

Up to 34 times greater extraction than the Standard SV450 in very low wind conditions, as reported in independent testing. See performance details.
Independent solar and wind extraction broaden the range of conditions in which ventilation is available.
Self-powered operation requires no mains electricity connection and consumes no grid electricity during use.
The brochure's illustrative comparison achieves comparable extraction with approximately 50% fewer ventilators under its nominated conditions.
No electrical connection or electrician is required. Fewer units can also help reduce installation time and maintenance requirements.
Australian designed and manufactured, combining Ampelite's industrial roofing experience with iSwirl's patented hybrid technology.
Up to 34 times greater extraction
in very low wind conditions compared with the Standard SV450.
Up to 99% higher airflow
at a 3 m stack height under the brochure's nominal operating conditions, approximately twice the airflow.
The brochure reports NATA-certified independent testing in accordance with AS 4740 - Natural Ventilators - Classification and Performance. Results depend on the operating conditions; these figures are not a guaranteed extraction rate for every building.

Answers to common product and planning questions, based on the current brochure.
No. It combines solar-powered mechanical extraction with wind-driven ventilation. There is no mains electricity connection, no grid electricity consumption during operation and no electrician required for an electrical connection.
The wind-driven system works independently of the solar-powered extraction system and can provide ventilation whenever wind energy is available. Performance depends on the available solar and wind conditions.
It is the brochure's independently tested comparison with the Standard SV450 in very low wind conditions. It does not describe airflow in all conditions. The full-sun airflow values at 3 m, 6 m and 9 m effective stack heights are listed in the performance section.
The brochure lists a roof pitch range of 1° to a maximum of 30°. Contact your local Ampelite office to confirm suitability and installation requirements for your roof.
