Wind-driven ventilation with an internal fan

Superflow combines a rotary roof ventilator with an internal three-blade fan to assist airflow through the roof space. It uses wind energy to draw out warm, stale air as fresh air enters through suitable inlet openings.

A fibreglass-reinforced nylon chassis, sealed dual bearing housing and double-riveted pressed vanes support quiet, durable operation.

Help reduce heat build-up

Release hot air trapped between the ceiling and roof covering to help reduce heat radiating into rooms below.

Help manage roof space moisture

Support air circulation and remove damp air when paired with suitable replacement-air openings.

Installation requirements

Installation essentials

  • Provide suitable replacement-air openings, such as eave vents, to support airflow through the roof space.
  • Adjust the variable-pitch throat so the rotating head sits horizontally. Check the level in both directions.
  • Use the guide for your roof type and follow its flashing, fixing and sealing instructions.
  • Check the technical bulletin for ventilation requirements, product use limits and any mesh requirements.

Bushfire-prone locations

The shared Spinaway and Superflow technical bulletin covers BAL 12.5 to BAL 40 in Class 1 and 10a residential applications with Ampelair Vent Mesh, subject to correct specification and installation. BAL-FZ is excluded.

Product use limits

The bulletin excludes cyclonic wind regions C and D, locations within 500m of saltwater bodies, and hazardous or corrosive environments.

Contact Ampelite to confirm suitability, vent quantities and inlet requirements for your roof.

15-year warranty

Coverage and conditions

Before you choose Superflow

Does Superflow need electricity?

No. Both the rotary ventilator and its internal fan are wind driven. There is no mains electrical connection or electricity running cost.

What does the internal fan do?

Superflow includes an internal three-blade fan designed to improve airflow through the ventilator. It is powered by the wind-driven assembly rather than an electric motor.

How many ventilators will my home need?

The quantity depends on the roof dimensions, pitch, inlet openings and ventilation requirements. Use the technical bulletin and speak with Ampelite about the requirements of your roof.

Do I need eave vents as well?

Suitable replacement-air openings are essential for effective roof space ventilation. Eave vents help air circulate through the roof cavity. Check the technical bulletin for the inlet requirements that apply to your roof.

Can it be installed on a metal or tiled roof?

Yes, within the installation limits. The shared technical bulletin lists 3°–45° for metal sheet roofs and 15°–45° for tiled roofs. Follow the appropriate Superflow installation guide and ensure the rotating head is level.

Can Superflow be used in a bushfire-prone area?

The technical bulletin covers BAL 12.5 to BAL 40 in Class 1 and 10a residential applications with Ampelair Vent Mesh, subject to correct specification and installation. BAL-FZ is excluded. Confirm your project's requirements with Ampelite.
